Igneous Summoning Stone
Just a quick question from a relative newcomer: Is there any downside to using the Igneous Summoning Stone (e.g. preventing certain titles, etc.)? There's nothing listed in the wiki, but after using it for a little, it seems like an awfully powerful item to not have any side effects. Thanks.

I don't think there is any downside. It is a powerful item but only limited to non-lvl 20 characters.

the only problem that would come to mind is that it may split exp with u, but it doesn't. If things being easier and dying faster at low lvl is a problem for u, then that would be it. the usefulness of the imp really shines in pre-searing. it owns everything there basicaly with enough self heal that it doesn't die easily. extremely helpful for soloing charr to lvl for the LDoA title.

Sounds o.k. to me, I guess. It's almost disappointing since it removes a lot of the challenge getting up to lvl 20, especially in pre-searing as you mentioned. Oh well.

yep, as stated above there is no real downside. it's a fun little item added to "spice up your gw experience".

You are not required to use the Fire Imp. It's just available if you get in a jam.

I Love my imp. I bought it for 4.99 a the online store and BOy oH boY does is work great. I just stand there...and troll ungent myself and watch the imp kill...everything. Crank the healing up.. agro and stand there. no weapon needed! Did I mention that I am lvl 17? I just can not seem to die spamming the TU. Great fun.. |

Anyway, as mentioned can only be used while under lvl 20. Only one active summon stone per explorable and you can only summon it once every hour. I think that about covers its downsides. It affects nothing else, so your titles(or whatever are safe). |
